My Family
I am Thozama and I am 30 years old with two children a boy and a girl, the older one is 10 years and the youngest is 2 years, both of them are HIV negative, that makes me very happy in my life. I am living with my husband, with the HIV virus; I was tested positive in 2001. He is on ARVs, while I am still waiting for it. My CD4 count is 275, meaning that I’m taking ARVs soon. I begin my treatment on 14th Nov, for the rest of my life.
I started to do body maps in 2002.When we started we were 14 but unfortunately four of them passed away.
We are now working with five women with one man for Global Alchemy. It is very nice when we meet together. We love each other, we make everyone happy, no one hurt each other, what I would like is to live a happy life with my children and raise them.
I would like the Bambanani project group to go further without losing hope, so that we can give support to our families and also give hope to people who are not accepting to live with HIV.
