I am very excited to have recently found out that my entry for the 2011 Freedom to Create Main Prize has been “Commended” and will now go forward to the final stages of the 2011 competition.
There were 2051 entries in this year’s competition from 145 countries around the world, and 50 entries across the different art forms have been Commended by the Judges at this stage.
Finalists will be announced in November. It is a great thrill to be shortlisted along side Ai Wei Wei of China, whose work I admire enormously, and all of the other artists whose work looks equally tremendous.
