Deborah May studied fine art and photography at St Martin’s
School of Art, London and has worked in the theatre, and
in film and television - both live action and animation. For
the past 15 years Deborah’s work has been predominantly
in music and dance.
Broadcast work includes two films for Simon Rattle’s series on
20thC music, Leaving Home, which won a BAFTA in 1997;
all performance sequences for Deborah Bull’s The Dancer’s
Body; and documentary portraits of Wayne MacGregor,
Sir Anthony Dowell and Shobana Jeyasingh for BBC2.
